Binary Black Hole Population Properties Inferred from the First and Second Observing Runs of Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo
At the end of advanced LIGO/Virgo’s second observing run we have observed 10 binary black hole mergers and one binary neutron inspiral. Using these 10 binary black hole mergers we provide updated constraints on the distribution of black hole merger masses, spins, and redshifts. We demonstrate that less than 1% of black holes are more than 45x more massive that the sun.
