Directional limits on persistent gravitational waves using data from Advanced LIGO’s first two observing runs

The stochastic gravitational-wave background is the constant hum of the Universe. In this paper, we report the limits on the anisotropy of this background after advanced LIGO/Virgo’s second observing run.
